Alissa received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Pacific University in Hillsboro, OR and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Portland. After completing her degree, Alissa worked for nearly a decade in outpatient orthopedics in Gresham, OR. Professional areas of interest include running rehab and sports enhancement although she enjoys treating a wide variety of diagnoses and working closely with her patients for them to achieve their goals. She is certified in Sports metrics and is a Graston Provider.
Away from work Alissa enjoys spending time with family, competing in the equestrian sport of 3-day eventing, gardening, hiking and even hunting when time allows.
Why did you become a Physical Therapist?
I have been interested in injuries and rehab from a young age being involved in sports and have never regretted pursuing physical therapy as a profession. There is nothing more fulfilling than helping patients regain their prior level of function and improve the quality of their lives.
